As users of many other internet services, we recognize that privacy is extremely important. Here is how MedSist collects, uses and protects your information.
We do not sell your personal information.
In the MedSist extension, we need to save some information in storage to increase speed, so that we can display it or perform the user's desired operations when needed. This includes the number of shifts per day, work schedule settings, the list of doctors, site name, current domain and link, active tab information and the latest data displayed, the time to send some requests, and some configuration requirements for the extension. All of this information is stored in the user's browser storage and can only be used by the extension on the same browser — no data is exported.
To create a communication channel between doctor and patient, the extension lets a doctor send a text message to a patient. To do this, the patient's phone number and the doctor's text are sent to our server to send an SMS. Neither the phone number nor the text content is stored on our server.
To increase productivity and tailor the extension's behavior to where you are in OSCAR, MedSist needs access to the full address of the current browser tab. Based on the different sections of that address, it provides the related service.
Since the MedSist extension works across different OSCAR EMR domains, it checks the full URL to confirm it matches an OSCAR site pattern before offering its service.
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information through the site, it is protected both online and offline.
MedSist and its partners use cookies and similar tools to distinguish you from other users. You can control cookie use at the browser level.
We may share personal data derived from site usage with analytics and search engine providers that help us improve our sites, subject to the Cookies section above. Our sites may use Google Analytics — see google.com/policies/privacy/partners for how Google collects and processes that data.
We may also share personal data to comply with law and legal process, to respond to lawful government or regulatory requests, and to protect the life, property or security of MedSist or its customers.
If MedSist enters any merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of its business, personal data held by MedSist may transfer to the buyer or successor entity.
MedSist's servers are in Vancouver, Canada.
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will post the update on our site so you always know what information we collect, how we use it, and when we may disclose it.
